Since my childhood I have always enjoyed and pursued my passion for art, inspired by the natural world and the beauty and harmony of colours found in nature. I have exhibited my work in galleries together with other artists and undertook a solo exhibition in the Channel Islands. I have managed an art house for adults with disabilities and continue to follow my own artistic interests working mainly from my base in Suffolk. I have completed work to commission and my paintings are held in private collections in the UK, Europe and Australasia.
I work mainly in pastel but use other media in paintings to create different effects and textures, capturing the essence of landscapes and wildlife as well as people and animal portraiture.
Recently I have started to paint icons using egg tempera and gold leaf. This is a very different style and art form with a long tradition and history which I have found both challenging and rewarding.
